Oh, God! (1977)

John Denver spends an awful lot of time naked and/or drenched in this Carl Reiner picture. Ah, the late 1970s were a grand time for movie goers ... Or maybe not. This movie is okay; George Burns is excellent, but I think the satire is buried too deeply under the lovey dovey save the world and be kind to your neighbours message. Reiner mainly uses the amazing Teri Garr as the shrill wife: disappointing. That's the second movie I watched on the weekend with God as a main character: see my previous post. P.S. 70s movie costumes are pretty dull.
